World Final

The world final is hosted by a different country each year, usually in July. The winning team from each of the national finals is invited to compete in the world final. The World Final is similar to the National Final with teams buzzing in to answer questions. Two points are awarded for a correct answer and one point os deducted for an incorrect answer.

In 2018, teams from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, UK and Hong Kong.

Although the World Final is about being the champions of Kids' Lit Quiz it is also about making new friends and discovering the world! As Dr Seuss said "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Reading can take you places!!

The week that the students experience during the World Final is the prize for winning the Australian Final. Kids' Lit Quiz Australia assists with funding for other expenses.

In 2018, the Australian Team from Canberra Grammar School became our first World Champions. We are so proud of Gabe, Jordan, Evie and Shaan!!

Unfortunately due to COVID the World Final was not able to be held in 2020 , 2021, or 2022 but returned in 2023 in New Zealand.
